Urban regeneration: SOS School's participation in the project

The Municipality, in co-design with the SOS School of Sustainability Foundation led by architect Mario Cucinella, has launched a higher education course for architects, engineers, archaeologists, and designers. The workshop offered by SOS School for Antica Kroton involved sixteen professionals, who participated in a higher education course that addressed both the topic of sustainability in architecture and design and the crucial role of culture in sustainable urban regeneration projects and processes.

The Masterplan for Crotone

The final phase of the workshop aimed to propose a long-term development plan for the city of Crotone, based on its cultural identity. Starting with a mapping of the area and a citizen consultation, a document, nicknamed the "White Paper," was developed, representing the first step towards a new urban planning for Crotone.
